The LA County Board of Supervisors approved a five-year, $41.25M contract on July 14, 2026 with Quebec's Service Aerien Gouvernemental to lease two CL-415 Super Scoopers (1,600 gallons per scoop) for the Consolidated Fire Protection District each fire season through 2030, the 33rd year of the program; the aircraft base at Van Nuys Airport from late August and enter service in early September.
