Nevada County received two years of Zonehaven zone-based evacuation planning and support services as an in-kind donation valued at more than $84,000, accepted by the Board of Supervisors in February and underwritten by a Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation grant to Zonehaven. The county was later named among the 13 California counties in Genasys's October 2021 Zonehaven contract announcement; the platform is branded 'Know Your Zone' locally.

Still current. Nevada County maintains an Evacuation Zones page and runs the resident-facing Know Your Zone / Ready Nevada County programme on the platform. Product rebranded from Zonehaven to Genasys Protect; vendor remains Genasys Inc. Genasys has added further California counties since the original 13-county round.
