Funded by the Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation's wildfire-resilience initiative, the Western Fire Chiefs Association awarded a subcontract to XyloPlan for its parcel-level wildfire risk scoring (Fire Pathways).
The funding vehicle is the Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation's $1,980,000 grant to the Western Fire Chiefs Association for a 'Pre-Fire Wildland-Urban Interface Mitigation System' (awarded September 2023, 24-month term). WFCA has received four Moore grants totaling $3,336,533 since 2021, including $199,750 in October 2022 for a 'Wildland Urban Interface Fire Response Rating'. The XyloPlan subcontract amount within that grant is not disclosed.
