Original five-year exclusive-use next-generation airtanker awards to Minden Air, 10 Tanker Air Carrier and Coulson Aviation, issued after a 548-day contracting delay; the older anchor precursor to the current large-airtanker IDIQ.

Five-year exclusive-use awards issued May 2013 expired around 2018. Replaced first by the NextGen 3.0 exclusive-use round (2020) and then by the Airtanker Services 2023 next-generation large airtanker IDIQ (August 2023, $7.2B ceiling, ten-year term) awarded to 10 Tanker Air Carrier, Aero Air, Aero-Flite, Coulson Aviation and Neptune Aviation. Of the original 2013 awardees, 10 Tanker and Coulson carried forward onto the 2023 IDIQ; Minden Air is no longer an active large-airtanker operator.
