The request for bids covered a 12 acre forest stand improvement project on the UC Santa Cruz upper campus, removing most trees and understory vegetation up to 8 or 12 inches diameter at breast height depending on the treatment unit. Ten acres are treatable with equipment and two acres require hand work only. The project is permitted under UC Santa Cruz's CalVTP Project Specific Analysis. A mandatory pre-bid walk was held July 31, 2026 and bids were due August 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
