Idaho became the first U.S. state to deploy OroraTech's satellite-based thermal-imaging Wildfire Solution platform statewide, delivering near-real-time fire location, intensity and spread data to dispatch centers.

One-year demonstration/pilot agreement, not a multi-year statewide contract. An Idaho Department of Lands spokesperson told Government Technology the state paid $150,000 for a one-year 'demo' of the OroraTech program, which began in August 2025.
