Aspen Fire, joined by Pitkin County, the City of Aspen, Snowmass Village and Roaring Fork Fire, partnered with Pano AI on smoke-detection cameras, with public live-camera access added later.

Still current and expanding. Aspen Fire now runs four Pano AI cameras — Williams at Snowmass, Jack Rabbit, Ajax and Upper Red Mountain — with public live feeds at aspen.wildfirewatch.com, and a fifth camera for Independence Pass is in planning with the Independence Pass Foundation, with funding pledges already made. Carbondale & Rural Fire has separately signed on to Pano AI cameras, extending the Roaring Fork valley coverage. Pano AI remains independent and raised a $44M Series B in June 2025.
