CAL FIRE placed its fourth state-owned C-130H airtanker (4,000-gallon retardant capacity) into service and opened its 11th Helitack base with a Sikorsky S-70i Fire Hawk at Ramona Airport, San Diego County, continuing the state-owned C-130H program begun after a 2023 federal aircraft transfer.
