The program funds community level projects that reduce wildfire risk to people, property and infrastructure in the wildland urban interface and restore forest health. Approximately $7,040,000 is available, with up to $2 million reserved for capacity building projects and the remainder for fuels and forest health projects. The application period runs August 3, 2026 through October 8, 2026 at 5 p.m.
