RCD of Monterey County solicited (and later extended) proposals for the Carmel Valley Fuelbreak Project: roughly 425 acres of shaded fuelbreak maintenance (~225 ac) and community fuels treatments (~200 ac), funded by CAL FIRE Fire Prevention grant agreement 5GA21133. Work was to begin on award in late summer/fall 2025 and finish no later than March 15, 2026. No award announcement has been published.

No budget ceiling in the solicitation - bidders set their own price. Exhibit C is a time-and-materials agreement whose 'not to exceed' amount is filled in from the winning proposal, so no dollar value exists until award.
