Sonoma County expanded its AI-enabled ALERTWildfire camera detection network countywide ahead of the 2021 fire season to speed fire detection and dispatch.

The vendor now operates in the US as Alchera X, marketing the same FireScout AI wildfire detection product; it was still publicly pitching California agencies as of January 2025. The January 2021 $300K award itself was a single-season AI layer over the county's existing ALERTWildfire camera network and no renewal has been located; California's lookout camera network has since consolidated under ALERTCalifornia. Status left unchanged because no cancellation or lapse could be documented.
