Rain and Sikorsky (Lockheed Martin) ran roughly two weeks of live-fire autonomous Black Hawk suppression testing near Hesperia, CA in late April 2025 - about 24 hours of flight operations using Rain's mission autonomy and Sikorsky's MATRIX flight controls. San Bernardino County Fire Protection District collaborated on building and igniting the test fires; CAL FIRE, Orange County Fire Authority and USFS observed. Support came from PG&E's EPIC ratepayer R&D program, the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, the Silverwood development and Wildfire Water Solutions. This is a demonstration, not a procurement - no contract or dollar value exists.
