Watershed Research and Training Center

The center's Forestry and Fuels program is cutting a roadside fuel break along Pelletreau Ridge Road and reinforcing the Hitchcock Creek fire line as part of the Southern Trinity Fire Resiliency Project, funded by CAL FIRE's Forest Health Program through California Climate Investments. The project's environmental compliance covers 20,324 acres around Hyampom Valley, and the center notes it has not yet secured funds to treat all of those acres.
